Reven Swanson has been fascinated by how the human figure can be used to create a powerful expression. Her figures tend to be well-endowed, portraying substance rather than shallow objects of beauty. Within each figure she seeks to develop flowing lines that capture negative space and energy.

Ms. Swanson is a native Coloradan and began her career as a professional artist following graduation from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1988. Currently her work resides in over 30 public and private collections, both nationally and internationally.
