Reven Swanson is fascinated by traditional arts that pass from one generation to the next, like a story.  She explores the traditional patterns and methods and blends them into a contemporary art form.  Her sculptures are crafted in a variety of materials to express a personal biography and draw on her observations of women and their roles in the modern world.

Ms. Swanson is a native Coloradoan and has pursued a career as professional artist since 1989. Her work resides in public and private collections, both nationally and internationally. In 2007 Swanson was awarded "People's Choice and Purchase Award" in Greeley, CO. followed by "Best of Show" for Art for the Mountain Community in Evergreen CO. and Alpha Mu Delta's "Board of Director's Award" in Pueblo CO.
